Dear ***, Nancy & Victor,
As advised we were undertaking a new series of Lab Tests on our products as part of our ongoing testing programme.
Also we were concerned over the error on the Sodium levels that were incorrectly advised to you all.
Our Technical Manager, Steve Gibb, has today confirmed the following:
The newly undertaken Laboratory analytical tests show the following Sodium levels, significantly less than previously advised.
Venison Cuisine 311 mg/100g
Venison & Fish Cuisine 478 mg/100g
Lamb Cuisine 308 mg/100g
***; In response to your question about diabetic cats we advise the following:
Diabetic dogs and cats require foods that release sugars slowly into their bloodstream to avoid sugar spikes which cause deterioration of their health.
A diet that is high in protein, especially for cats, and low in simple carbohydrates, like ZiwiPeak, is ideal to help meet these needs and studies suggest that low carbohydrate diets may lower medication requirements in diabetic cats. In addition to this, optimal amounts of vitamins, minerals and omega 3 fatty acids can be an invaluable aid in promoting optimal health.
We belive that ZiwiPeak is perfect for diabetic cats and dogs as we are high in natural protein from ingredients that they would naturally eat in the wild, meats and organs and our product is balanced with vitamins and minerals. In addition we add Green Shell Mussel to the product which is rich in the omega 3 fatty acids.
I trust that the above has now clarified all the questions and we look forward to your positive support.
I have also attached our Vet Report for your information.
*** – yes we would be pleased to have your positive Blog support.
